Since the endocrine system (glandular system) is responsible for the chemical balances in our bodies, keeping the balance between the chemicals is very intricate. Therefore it is very common when one part of it is imbalanced, that all chemicals are affected. Depression (which is caused by lack of serotonin (a chemical manufactured by the endocrine system) is often accompanied by thyroid problems and stress and fatigue, caused by exhausted adrenal glands. Blood sugar problems often also go hand in hand with adrenal problems and thyroid problems. This then affects the hormones, causing menstrual problems in women and testosterone problems in men. For this reason, you will see that many of the formulas contain herbs which are also useful for other parts of the body which are normally affected by that gland not working properly.

The Glandular system works as one machine and each hormone / chemical produced by any part of it has a reaction on the rest of it. Therefore, if one hormone / chemical is out of balance, all of them are so it is vital to determine where the problem originates rather than just taking corrective medication
Adrenal Exhaustion
When one lives a high stress, fast pace life, the adrenal glands constantly need to produce adrenaline to keep up which leaves you feeling exhausted, physically, mentally and emotionally. People who live this way often end up in a cycle of drinking coffee to wake up in the mornings and sleeping tablets to fall asleep at night.
Remedy: Adrenal support
Diabetes
There are 2 types of diabetes. Type 1 means that you are insulin dependent because the pancreas is no longer able to produce insulin or when the body cannot make good use of the insulin it produces. Insulin is a hormone made by the pancreas that acts like a key to let glucose from the food we eat pass from the blood stream into the cells in the body to produce energy. All carbohydrate foods are broken down into glucose in the blood. Insulin helps glucose get into the cells.
Not being able to produce insulin or use it effectively leads to raised glucose levels in the blood (known as hyperglycaemia). Over the long-term high glucose levels are associated with damage to the body and failure of various organs and tissues.
Type 2 diabetes is still treatable and is normally caused by a bad diet or obesity. Type 2 diabetes can become type 1 diabetes if not treated.

Hyperthyroidism (over active thyroid)
This is when the body produces more than necessary amounts of thyroid hormone, which is mostly responsible for running the metabolic activities of the body. Therefore, an increased amount of thyroid hormone in the blood causes metabolic imbalance. A hyperthyroid patient experiences an increased amount of metabolism, which cause excessive weight loss, sweating, bulging eyes, anxiety, heat intolerance, excessive thirst, muscle cramps, difficulty sleeping and much more.
Remedy – Thyroid support is NOT for this condition. We recommend that you have some tests done to determine the cause of the problem.
Hypothyroidism (under active thyroid)
This is when the thyroid doesn’t produce enough thyroid hormone, which results in a slow metabolism, creating symptoms of weight gain, brittle nails, depression, constipation, moodiness, menstrual irregularities, cold intolerance, etc.

Hypoglycemia
This condition is also referred to as low blood sugar or low blood glucose, is a condition in which the blood glucose falls below the normal level. 70 to 110 is considered as normal blood sugar level in a person. When enough glucose is not provided to the body, then sugar level falls below the normal level.

Insulin Resistance
This is a condition in which cells fail to respond to the normal actions of the hormone insulin. The body produces insulin, but the cells in the body become resistant to insulin and are unable to use it as effectively, leading to hyperglycemia. The pancreas then increases the production of insulin, creating a vicious cycle. This often remains undetected and can contribute to a Type 2 diabetes.
